Halal Turkey Brine Recipe (with Boxed Halal Bone Broth)
Ingredients:

1 gallon Boxed Halal Beef Bone Broth (or a mix of bone broth + water)

1 cup kosher salt

½ cup brown sugar (optional for balance)

2 oranges, sliced

2 lemons, sliced
-
2 onions, quartered
-
6 cloves garlic, smashed
-
3–4 bay leaves
-
1 tablespoon black peppercorns
-
1 tablespoon allspice berries (optional)

A few sprigs of fresh thyme or rosemary
Instructions:

Combine the base:
In a large pot, add Boxed Halal Bone Broth, salt, and brown sugar. Bring to a gentle simmer and stir until the salt dissolves. -
Add flavor:
Turn off the heat. Stir in citrus slices, onions, garlic, herbs, and spices. Let cool completely. -
Brine the turkey:
Place your thawed Boxed Halal Turkey in a large container or brining bag. Pour the cooled brine over it, ensuring the turkey is fully submerged. -
Refrigerate:
Brine for 12–24 hours in the refrigerator. -
Prep for roasting:
Remove from brine, rinse lightly, and pat dry. Let the turkey rest uncovered in the fridge for 1–2 hours for perfectly crisp skin.
